Charming neighborhood with tree-lined streets

Ask any real estate agent about Bend’s most sought-after neighborhoods, and Northwest Crossing (NWX) will be at the top of the list. This master-planned community on the west side of Bend has become a model for what modern mountain-town living can look like.

The Vibe

NWX feels like a small town within a town. Homes line tree-shaded streets connected by miles of walking paths. Kids ride bikes to the neighborhood park. Neighbors actually know each other. The community was designed with connection in mind, and it shows.

The Village

At the heart of Northwest Crossing is a small commercial village with everything you need for daily life: a grocery store (Newport Market), restaurants, a fitness studio, a coffee shop, and more. You can genuinely walk to run your errands here — a rarity in Central Oregon.

The Saturday Farmers Market

From June through September, the NWX Saturday Farmers Market takes over the village green with local produce, artisan goods, food trucks, and live music. It’s one of the best community gatherings in Bend, and it happens right in the neighborhood.

Trail Access

One of the biggest draws of NWX is its proximity to trails. You can walk or bike directly onto the Phil’s Trail network and the Deschutes National Forest from the neighborhood. Morning mountain bike ride before work? Absolutely doable.

The Homes

Architectural styles in NWX range from Craftsman-inspired bungalows to modern mountain contemporary homes. The newer sections feature some of Bend’s most striking residential architecture. Home prices tend to be at the higher end of Bend’s market, reflecting the neighborhood’s premium location and lifestyle amenities.

If walkability, community, and trail access are on your wish list, Northwest Crossing checks every box.
